๐ Yesterday Was Christmas!!๐ฎ⛄
Yesterday was Christmas, and honestly, most people here enjoy it for a simple reason:
no work, no school.
Just that alone already makes the day feel special.
Even people who don’t really care about Christmas still welcome the break. The city
slows down a little, and everyone gets a short pause from their usual routine.

๐ Christmas = A Day for Couples
In Korea, Christmas is widely seen as a dating day.
It’s a time for couples to go out, eat good food, take photos, and enjoy the winter atmosphere together.
Because of that, many single people jokingly say they want to delete Christmas from the calendar. ๐ญ๐ญ
Some even say Christmas Eve is the last chance of the year to find a partner, and you can almost feel that energy in the air.
๐ Christmas & Eve Crowds Are No Joke
I spent Christmas & Eve in Seomyeon, and it was honestly overwhelming.
There were people everywhere — more than usual.
Restaurants were completely packed, ๐ and many places had long waiting lines or were simply full.
Finding a place to sit down and eat wasn’t easy at all. The streets felt alive, noisy, and full of couples dressed up for the night.
๐ A Different Kind of Christmas
So Christmas in Korea isn’t really about family gatherings or big traditions.
It’s more about time off, dates, and the atmosphere of the city.
Some people love it, some people dread it — but almost everyone feels it.
That’s what makes a Korean Christmas unique ๐✨
Koreans often wish for snow on Christmas,
but in Busan, it feels more like a dream than reality — so we don’t really expect it ๐ญ❄️
How did you spend your Christmas? ๐๐
