๐The Ones That Look Scary at First… But Locals Are Obsessed With๐
If Part 1 was your warm-up, this is where things get serious.
These Korean street foods might look intimidating, confusing, or even a little scary —
but once you try them, you’ll understand why locals can’t live without them. ๐๐ฅ
1️⃣ Sundae (Korean Blood Sausage) ๐ฉธ๐ญ
I’ll be honest — the first time I saw sundae, I thought it looked… intense.
But now? It’s easily one of my top favorite Korean foods.
Koreans LOVE bunsik (street food), and sundae is something that can never be left out.
It’s chewy, savory, and incredibly satisfying — especially when dipped in salt or tteokbokki sauce.
2️⃣ Butter-Grilled Squid ๐ง๐ฆ
You can try to ignore it, but the smell will stop you. Every time.
The aroma of butter-grilled squid is impossible to resist when you pass by a street stall.
Personally, it tastes even better while watching a movie at the cinema.
Salty, buttery, chewy — simple, but dangerously good.
3️⃣ Beondegi (Silkworm Pupae) ๐๐ณ
This one is definitely love it or hate it.๐
But once you get past the look and try it, the deep, nutty flavor can really pull you in.
It’s not for everyone, but if you’re curious about real Korean street food culture,
this is one experience you won’t forget.
4️⃣ Hotteok (Sweet Korean Pancake) ๐ฅ๐ฅ
These days in Busan, hotteok is one of the most popular street foods around.
People literally line up to get one.๐๐
My favorite is the seed-filled hotteok, packed with nuts and syrup inside.
Crispy outside, gooey inside — no wonder it’s everywhere right now.
5️⃣ Gimbap (Korean Seaweed Rice Rolls) ๐✨
Gimbap is a traditional Korean food, and honestly,๐
I’ve never met a Korean who dislikes it.
I highly recommend dipping it into tteokbokki sauce — it’s a classic combo.
Sometimes you’ll see mini gimbap with simple fillings, but that simplicity is exactly the charm.
✨ Final Thoughts
Korean street food isn’t always pretty — but that’s part of the fun.
If you’re visiting Korea, don’t judge these foods by how they look.
Try them like a local, and you might discover your new favorite snack.
See u~!!!!๐๐
