Today, I’m stepping away from the sea for a moment to take you to the trendiest neighborhood in the city: Jeonpo-dong (also known as Jeonridan-gil).
If Seomyeon is the neon-lit, bustling heart of Busan, Jeonpo-dong is its artistic, soul-searching cousin. Let’s dive into Part 1: The Daytime Charm of Jeonpo.
๐บ️ The Layout: Crossing the "Invisible Line"
Jeonpo-dong is divided by a large main road.
On one side, you have the busy Seomyeon.
But today, we are crossing that road to the "upper" side.

๐ก The Ultimate Local Pro-Tip
Here is how we locals do it: Start your evening with dinner and the 1st round of drinks in Jeonpo, then cross over to Seomyeon for the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
Jeonpo has the atmosphere; Seomyeon has the energy.
Remember this, and you’ll travel like a pro!

๐ฐ A Foodie’s Paradise
Japanese, Chinese, Western, or traditional Korean—Jeonpo has it all.
But the real stars here are the cafes.
The competition is so fierce that you can walk into almost any pretty-looking shop and it will likely be a "gourmet" spot.
During the day, since the bars are closed, the cafes become the heart of the neighborhood. It’s quieter, sunnier, and perfect for people-watching.
๐ Vintage Vibes & Slow Walks
One of my favorite things to do in the afternoon is Vintage Shop Hopping.
Jeonpo is famous for its unique thrift stores. You can find rare fashion pieces that you won't see in any department store.
It's the best place to find a "one-of-a-kind" souvenir from Busan.

The Catch: Their desserts are legendary.
Personally, I highly recommend the Ice Cream Latte and the Croffle (Croissant + Waffle).
The combination of cold, sweet ice cream and crispy, warm croffle is a total game-changer.

In Jeonpo, if you didn't take a photo, did you even go? You’ll see "Self-Photo Booths" everywhere.
It’s a huge trend in Korea right now to grab your friends, put on some silly hats, and take high-quality 4-cut photos.
Lately, it's become a "must-do" after having a drink, so these places are always buzzing with happy people!
